The Freescan Trak Nova is a wireless and dynamic 3D scanning system consisting of 2 scanners, which can work in unison or work separately to handle different parts.
1) The TE Nova provides high resolution (0.05mm - 3mm) handheld 3D scanning for capturing fine details of an object ranging from the volume between 1 in³ to 3 meters³. The TE Nova does not need markers when paired with the UE Nova tracking system.
2) The UE Nova can be used as a tracking system for the TE Nova or as a separate low resolution (1mm - 10mm) handheld 3D scanner for large objects/areas between 1 meter³ to 20 meters³. This is possible due to a large-scale scanning coverage with 2.6 × 2.2 meter FOV, capturing millions of points per second. Compared to the EINSCAN Libre, the UE Nova has a 6 times larger FOV, which can accelerate scan time by 4-6 times depending on the selected resolution.

- Integrated Video Photogrammetry (VPG): FreeScan Trak Nova system features SHINING 3D’s patented video photogrammetry (VPG), which eliminates the need for coded markers. By integrating photogrammetry technology with a calibration rod, it enables real-time marker verification through video capture. This ensures consistent volumetric accuracy and streamlines the setup process for efficient large-object scanning.
