QUICKSURFACE for SOLIDWORKS (previously named as Mesh2Surface for SOLIDWORKS) is a reverse engineering add-in for SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD that lets you convert 3D scan meshes into CAD models. It provides efficient tools to generate surfaces and curves to help reconstructing a professional CAD model.

How does it work?
- Once you have scanned your object and exported it as STL, OBJ or PLY mesh or PTX point cloud you can import your mesh in SOLIDWORKS.
- Import large scan data effectively in seconds, not minutes. SW starts glitching with mesh files that are larger than 8 MB or 250,000 triangles.
- Extract reference geometries, including symmetry planes, spheres, cones, and cylinders.
- Create reference cross sections for sketching. Then, fit precise lines, arcs, and complex curves to the reference scan data.
- Approximate free form surfaces with best fit surface tools. Reverse engineering organic and free form shapes with NURBS surfacing.
- Remodel your object with the best accuracy and design intent.
