The EINSTAR scanner can easily capture clear details at a fast pace, while supporting multiple data formats for 3D design software and 3D printers. This scanner can capture submillimeter resolution and accuracy on parts between the volume of 3 inch³ / 70 mm³ to about 27 feet³ / 8300 mm³. The specification for resolution indicates the point distance of the generated 3D model; for example, a point distance of a millimeter means that the scanner will create points spaced out at 1 millimeter. On this EINSTAR portable 3D scanner, the point distance is adjustable between 0.10 to 3 millimeters depending on your goal, whether to produce a very dense point cloud to represent small surface features or a less detailed model for the overall figure. The volumetric accuracy of scanned models can reach 1 millimeter per meter to the actual object with proper use of the scanner. We recommend the Einscan H2 3D scanner if you need higher volumetric accuracy of up to 0.05mm + 0.1mm/m.

The included scanning software, ExScan, does an amazing job at aligning each frame together with 3 alignments methods: unique features on the model's surface, reflective markers which can be added to the surface, or by an object's unique color profile. The following file formats are supported: STL, OBJ, ASC, PLY, 3MF or P3.
